… outlines and promises a unique atmosphere for this year’s event

The Events Vendors Association of Ghana (EVAG) last week launched the 2nd edition of the Ghana Events Industry Conference (G.E.I.C) Awards and Gala Night slated for November 5, 2020.

Speaking at the press briefing, President of EVAG, Mrs. Kate Hassan said: “This year’s event is to empower all industry players for better future, hence, the choice of the theme, ‘Power Up: increasing performance ability in the Events industry’.

“The novel coronavirus pandemic has negatively impacted the events industry which necessitates a call on the government to recognise the stakeholders of the event industry since they contribute massively to the country’s GDP.

EVAG has grown and evolved tremendously in two years, courtesy of the executive board and members of the association. To this, we will hold awards and gala night, in honour of our professionals who have significantly excelled and proven their skills even amidst a global pandemic”, she said.

Vice President of EVAG, Madam Margaret Cudjoe added that: “EVAG has engaged members and non-members of the industry and have been educated on safety measures, various diversity of events and how to be innovative and reviving the industry post-COVID-19

As an association, members’ health is very important and through it all, we deem it fit to recognise and honour hardworking players of the event industry,” she said.

The launch, which was held at Thea Villa Hotel, Ashale Botwe, saw the unveiling of the management members, executives and channels for pooling resources as well as regulations to guide the event.

The Event Vendors Association Ghana (EVAG) which provides the platform for operators in the events industry to synergise and pool resources from each other to enable the industry to grow.

The Ghana Event Industry Conference is a platform created for operators in the events industry to be honoured among others from each other.

EVAG aims at organising event vendors around the country, ensuring delightful delivery to clients, promoting and encouraging the highest level of ethics within the events industry and managing the sector to high standards, as well promoting professionalism with high-quality service delivery.
