Logos-Rhema Foundation for Leadership Resource Development will, from October 29, 2023 to November 4, 2023, hold its 2023 edition of the Non-Stop Praise and Worship experience.
The event will be coupled with Bible reading and prayers. This year’s event will mark the 21st anniversary of the non-stop praise and worship series that is organised by Logos-Rhema and will be hosted at the auditorium of the Central Community Assembly, La-Accra.
Speaking on the relevance of the programme, Founding President & International Director of Logos-Rhema Foundation for Leadership Resource Development, Dr. Abu Bako, said although the event focuses on worship, it is important to note that it is not about religion, but rather the Kingdom of God.
Participants from nations across continents – such as the United States, Caribbean islands, Europe, Asia and the Middle East – have eagerly participated in this worship experience and are ready for this year’s edition. Additionally, virtual participants from nearly half of the world’s nations will also come together to be part of this extraordinary event.
The target participants for this vision are ministers in music, dance, drama and intercessory prayer from around the world. Leaders from different denominations and groups are also welcomed to proclaim and declare God’s purpose. The organisers hope to encourage all nations to participate, and urge the media and communication industry to spread the word.
Logistics and management of the event, according to Dr. Bako, are skillfully handled by a committee led by a chairman, with subcommittees and representatives in different nations. The event relies on voluntary donations for support, emphasising the collective commitment to this spiritual endeavour.
The ultimate goal of the ‘144 hours of praises and worship’ event is to bring the heavenly experience to earth through continuous worship and praises. Dr. Bako firmly believes that by doing so, there can be an open heavens and a release of blessings upon the nations.
Dr. Bako indicated that as this year’s edition marks the 21st anniversary of non-stop praise and worship, it will continue to birth various impactful initiatives that can bring about development in areas such as security and overall prosperity of the nation.
“The Lord has instructed us to bring the heavenly experience to earth, rather than waiting to go to heaven. This involves continuously worshiping and praising God as described in Revelation 4:8. By doing so, we can open the heavens and release blessings upon the nations. Ghana has been hosting this event for several years, starting with 24 hours of non-stop praise and worship and gradually increasing the duration to 144 hours.
“During this time, we would not only engage in praise and worship, but also read the Bible, make declarations and pray for the nations. This practice is aimed at restoring the phenomenon that made David, the biblical king, never lose a battle. We have seen God’s preservation in our nation, possibly due to the power of collective praise and Psalm 67’s message of blessings for all nations. This journey of non-stop praise and worship, along with other activities like praying for different time zones and reading the Bible, has been ongoing for 21 years and has given birth to various impactful initiatives,” he said while giving a background history to the programme.
