Contemporary praise and worship ministry (CT Praise) of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Christ Temple East has launched its debut album during a listening session by industry players and the media.

The group, led by Pastor Edwin Dadson, Pastor Ella Somuah and Sandra Huson-Kelly, are known within the Church circuit for serving urban contemporary African gospel music with dynamic performances. The maiden album, titled ‘The Encounter’, has sixteen songs featured on it.

Some of the songs include The Encounter – which happens to be the title of the song, Lala Dance, At the Well, You Are All I Need, Amen, All Power Belongs to God, Gathering, Me Kra Dofo, Lord I Want to Know You, I Have Come Back, among others.

The group featured Nathaniel Bassey on ‘I Have Come Back’, which is already out; and Mabongi Thusi on the ‘Me Do Wo’ track. Prior to the industry listening and launch, the gospel music group had released their first single off the album ‘Lala Dance Medley’ on March 24.

CT Praise gave gospel music fans a unique opportunity to be among the first people to hear and watch them perform their new album at a live album recording session on Sunday, March 05, 2023 at the ICGC Christ Temple East Auditorium, Teshie. CT Praise’s ministry is aimed at preaching the word of God through music, thus, advancing the Kingdom of God, one song at a time.

According to the leader of the group, Pastor Edwin Dadson, preparation toward putting the album together began in the second week of February 2023. Pastor Dadson said the inspiration behind the album is the biblical story of the women at the well in John 4. He was hopeful that the song will touch the lives of many and will be heard everywhere in the world.

Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Music Publishing Diana Hopeson, together with Pusic producer Henry Datsomor, mentioned that the album is one that needs to be accepted by music lovers across the world.

Ms. Hopeson added: “After going through the songs to check copyright, I found out that 90 percent of the songs were written by CT Praise. For me that is something worth celebrating. I came to the conclusion that the album has really met its purpose”.
