Alhaji Salamu Amadu adjudged ‘Young CEO of the Year’ 2022

The Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Afro Arab Group of Companies, Alhaji Salamu, has been adjudged ‘Young CEO of The Year’ in the male category and also ranked among the ‘Top 50 Young CEOs’ of the Year, 2022.

The annual ‘Top 50 Young CEOs in Ghana’ list was published by top African Public Relations (PR) & Rating firm Avance Media and YCEO Africa.

This fifth edition of the awards highlights ambitious young leaders who are leading businesses and organisations that are solving some of the continent’s most difficult problems, while also giving employment and inspiration to young Ghanaians.

The renowned business mogul was nominated among notable entertainment industry personalities such as reggae-dancehall artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla, known as Stonebwoy; Desmond Blackmore also known as D-Black; Joe Mettle and Reverb Studious as well as corporate personalities like Sadiq Abdulai Abu, 3 Music Network, Kwadwo Safo Jnr, Kantanka Automobile; and Sammi Awuku, Director-General, National Lottery Authority, among others.

On receiving his award, the CEO of Afro Arab Group, Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu, in his remarks expressed profound gratitude to the awards’ organisers and also dedicated the award to all 50 young CEOs who were nominated.

“Honestly, I was not expecting to win this esteemed award – but Alhamdulillah, we thank Allah for making it possible. Let me use this medium to say ‘thank you’ to organisers of the awards, the people who nominated me, and all those who voted for me as well.

“This is just a confirmation that the whole country and beyond is watching what we are doing in our small way to contribute to development of the youth and marginalised groups in our society. So, we will continue to support and create more opportunities for the youth to seek their fortune,” he said.

Furthermore, he noted awards like this always encourage him to do more for the youth so that they can also achieve their dreams of becoming businessmen, entrepreneurs and responsible leaders who will give back to society.

“Recognition like this always encourages me to do more for the youth to achieve their dreams. Last but not least, I want to dedicate this award to all the young CEOs nominated for the awards. We are all winners and may Allah bless us all,” he added.

Managing Director of Avance Media, Prince Akpah, stated that in its fifth edition the ‘Young CEO of The Year’ award has been earmarked to recognise the most entrepreneurial young CEO among Ghana’s Top 50 Young CEOs for 2022 – and that happens to be the CEO of Afro Arab Group.
