The Interim Vice Chancellor of the University of Kigali, Professor Robert Ebo Hinson, has paid a courtesy call on Professor Lydia Aziato, Dean of the University of Ghana’s School of Nursing and Midwifery.
The courtesy call was predicated on the University of Kigali’s desire to develop new courses in the Health Sciences arena.
The University of Ghana has an MoU with the University of Kigali, and the interactive discussions between the two universities was conducted under the auspices of this MoU.
Dean Lydia Aziato shared experiences of the School of Nursing and Midwifery in the development of their Bachelor’s degrees in Nursing and Midwifery, and indicated the willingness of her school to collaborate with the University of Kigali in developing similar courses for the Rwandan university.
The meeting ended with the Interim Vice Chancellor of the University of Kigali thanking the Dean of the School of Nursing and Midwifery for the insights she shared. He also indicated that, at the appropriate time, the University of Kigali will collaborate with the University of Ghana to brainstorm on its proposed degree programmes in nursing and midwifery.
