Vaal Real Estate has launched its new residential project in Ghana – the Harmonia Residence. The project, located at the Airport Residential Area in Accra, is part of an expansion plan that will see Vaal Real Estate develop another project in the second quarter of 2022.

For his part, Minister of Works and Housing, Francis Asenso-Boakye, encouraged private residence developers – especially the foreign entities, to build affordable housing units to better serve the public.

He told the management of Vaal and all estate developers to consider the low and lower- to middle-income earners in their programming, as this is the best and most satisfying way to support in mitigating accommodation needs of the Ghanaian people.

Speaking on the upcoming Condominium bill, which will regulate construction of high-rise buildings in the country, the minister commended Vaal for its well-strategised initiative and pledged government’s support in the areas of providing land, tax incentives and guidance.

Sales Manager for Vaal Kenya, Prit Shah, said aside from providing houses for the public, Vaal Real Estate also aims at providing job opportunities for a significant number of the unemployed youth in beneficiary countries. “In Kenya, for instance, a success story from there is that we have built a thousand homes within six years – with 500 indirect employees and 70 direct employees,” he added.

Youssef Samir, Commercial Director of Vaal Ghana, said VAAL Real Estate’s expansion plan looks at launching more than 10 residential projects in the next three years within Accra, with an exceptional urban development plan and very close to Kotoka Airport.
