Mr Eric Enningful, a resident of Kasoa has been rewarded with a 70-inch Samsung UHD TV for being the most loyal customer of the HD+ service at a concert held on 16th December, 2021 by SES HD PLUS GH to mark the company’s first anniversary of delivering quality TV viewing experiences to satellite homes in the country.
Commenting on the award, Mrs Adelaide Abbiw-Williams, Head of Marketing at SES HD PLUS GH, said “This journey was made possible through the support of the 40,000 homes that have welcomed the HD+ service. We are grateful and encouraged to deliver more innovative and quality entertainment solutions”. Mr Enningful, joined the HD+ Service in February 2021 and has been an active user of the service ever since then.
On 16th December 2020, the HD+ Service went live in Ghana with 11 HD Channels to complement the over 100 standard definition channels already available on the MultiTV platform. Over the last 12 months HD+ has partnered with more broadcasters and have 18 channels in HD, accessible either via the HD+ Decoder or compatible Samsung QLED/UHD TVs on which the My HD PLUS operator app has been downloaded from the Samsung store. HD+ subscribers are also able to keep up with their favourite shows and programs on the go, via the My HD PLUS mobile app, available both on IOS and Android.
While the idea is to offer top local TV channels in quality pictures, the HD+ Service offers dedicated channels for kids, a couple of channels for movies and music lovers and just recently Aljazeera for the international news lover. And for sports fans, GTV Sports+ will be available in HD in time for the AFCON in January 2022.
