Dalex Finance donates towards UG’s 20-for-20 campaign

Dalex Finance presented a cheque of GH¢20,000 towards the 20-for-20 campaign, a fund-raising initiative instituted by the Office of Institutional Advancement. The campaign is aimed at raising funds for the UG@70 endowment fund and other projects.

Richard Obeng Dwamena, Head of Finance, Dalex Finance presented the cheque to the university. He stressed the importance of research in enabling Dalex Finance to emerge as the leading digital finance company in Ghana today.

He added that Dalex Finance recognizes the great impact research has had in other parts of the world and is fully committed to support the endowment fund of the University of Ghana which. He further called on other corporate institutions to support the University in its endeavors.



Prof. Dan Ofori, Director, Academic Quality Assurance Unit (AQAU), received the cheque on behalf of the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu. He expressed immense appreciation to Dalex Finance for their responsive attitude towards research.

Present at the ceremony was Ruth Dede Yankey, Investment Manager, Dalex Finance; Yaw Acheampong Adjei, Manager, Swift/Corporate Communication, Dalex Finance; Francis Kwabena Boachie, Deputy Chief IT Officer, Adwoa Abrokwa, Assistant Registrar, Alumni Relations Office, OIA; Gideon Awini, Research Assistant; Maxwell Nartey, Accounts Officer; Abraham Abayateye, ICT Assistant, UGCS; and Nunana Lartey Lawson, Principal Accounting Assistant.

This donation follows a thread of donations by Dalex Finance during this COVID-19 era. On June 20, 2020, the company donated items worth GH¢20,000 to the ST. Andrews Hospital in Kordiabe. In April 2020, Dalex Finance gave out loans at 0% interest to vulnerable Ghanaians over three months as part of efforts to win the fight against COVID19.

Dalex Finance is a wholly Ghanaian owned and operated Specialized Deposit-taking Institution (SDI) licensed by the Bank of Ghana (BoG). Dalex Finance has been in operation in Ghana since 2006.
