The 3RD Edition of the Africa Human Resources Innovation Awards (AHRIA) 2020 is scheduled to be held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra, on Friday 18th December 2020.

The awards ceremony was launched by Instinct Wave, Africa’s premium B2B event & media specialist in January 2020, and initially slated for March 27th 2020 but was postponed due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in Ghana.

The Awards Scheme, which was formally a Ghana Human Resources Innovation event, was rebranded to ‘Africa Human Resource Innovation Awards’ in order to cover the sub-region and bring together great minds in the HR industry from across Africa.

Human Resource units play a pivotal and strategic role in sustaining organisational growth in a highly competitive global environment. The success of every organisation lies in its human capital.

AHRIA will in its 3rd year honour leading HR professionals, organisations with top-notch HR models and practices, and executives who have made sterling contributions to the corporate sector over the years. AHRIA will also unveil the top-50 HR Leaders across verticals in the sub-region.

Speaking on rebranding the awards scheme, Instinct Wave CEO, Mr. Akin Naphtal, said that 2020 has indeed shaped up to become a truly generation-defining year across the spectrum – from politics to science, to health and the business world and beyond. Indeed, the present reality heralds a new focus for business leaders’ future.

“As Africa’s premium B2B event & media specialist, we are expanding some of our award schemes to cover the sub-region as well as catch up with the new wave in the business sector. This is the reason behind rebranding the awards scheme to Africa Human Resources Innovation Awards (AHRIA).

“We are also glad to be have the Fair Wages Commission on board as a partner and a jury member for AHRIA 2020,” he said.

AHRIA 2020 is in partnership with the Ghana’s Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, a reputable government institution.

The Fair Wages Commission CEO, Dr. Edward Kwapong, expressed his excitement about partnering Instinct Wave, saying that the awards scheme will raise the benchmark for excellence in the Industry.

“Indeed, it’s a great honour to be part of Instinct Wave’s HR awards, it was great having Fair wages on board during the 2019 edition of the awards. I’m optimistic that it will be better hosting a gathering of leading HR professionals from African countries such as South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and Rwanda. This will be a huge platform to not only reward the hard work of HR professionals, but also meet our counterparts from other countries to interact and learn one or two things to strengthen the nation’s socio-economic development.”

The gala night will be a gathering of key players and decision-makers in the Industry from across the region. The night provides an exceptional opportunity for stakeholders to network, entertain clients, reinforce relationships with partners and reward staff with exceptional performance.
