Ghana’s Covid-19 cases up to 641 with 83 recoveries.
Coronavirus cases in Ghana have increased to 641 as of 7am on April 16.
The total number of recoveries has also jumped from 17 to 83.
Total number of deaths remains 8, with over 500 responding well to treatment, according to the Information Ministry.
The Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah advised against stigmatization of patients who have recovered and reunited with their families. This comes after reports that recovered patients and their families are being stigmatized in their communities, a situation, the Minister described as worrying and challenging to government’s efforts in the fight against the virus and it’s impacts the country.
“Stigma has become one of the challenges that we very quickly need to combat,” he noted.
