The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the release of the Ghanaman Soccer Centre Of Excellence, at Prampram, for use by the government as an isolation treatment center for possible coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.
The GFA President, Kurt Okraku, said the facility, which is strategically placed, can host about 250 people and is expected to be used to cater for those in the Prampram area and its environs.
He explained that the decision by the Executive Council of the GFA follows President Akufo-Addo’s appeal for individuals and organisations to join in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
He added that, following the decision to offer the facility for use, some efforts have successfully been made with the support of the Ministry of Health and other government agencies to engage the chiefs and people of the area.
“Together we will win this battle, together we can bring our football back!”
