The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation has outdoored over 150 projects scattered across the country.
Some of the projects are astro-turf facilities, boreholes, classroom blocks, CHPS compounds and sanitation facilities, among others.
All the projects, which started in 2017, have impacted and transformed lives of individuals and communities across the country.
At the projects’ outdooring, some scholarship beneficiaries under the Foundation testified how their lives have been changed and in turn, how they have affected their communities.
GNPC’s board chair, Freddie Blay, praised the Foundation’s projects. “These projects and other initiatives are geared toward improving the living standards of Ghanaians.”
He praised the Member of Parliament for Takoradi, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, for the various roles he played in ensuring the GNPC Energy House was completed.
For his part, Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah said: “The Foundation must let people of the region know the extent and impact of GNPC Foundation on the people’s lives in the region.
“I therefore charge the Executive Director and his team to embark on a massive campaign that informs the general public on how far the Foundation has supported various regions and the country as whole,” he said.
Awulae Agama-Tu Gyan, Chief of Gwira Banso and chairman the ceremony, also praised the Foundation for its mission to affect and impact lives.
