Nestlé Ghana Limited has awarded four trucks to its distributors in recognition of their outstanding performance in 2022.

Among the awardees include Kofi Gyimah Enterprises Limited, Danmaud Company Limited, Benbetty Company Limited, and Sontrurk Company Limited. Kofi Gyimah Enterprises Limited was named the Best Distributor in Retail Redistribution while the other three companies were recognised as the best distributors.

In addition to these awards, Nestlé Ghana Limited also recognised 80 other deserving distributors across the country in categories, such as brand champion, consistency, highest turnover, growth, best distributor, long service, Nestlé professional, and best sales award.

Georgios Badaro, Managing Director of Nestlé Ghana Limited, thanked the distributors for their dedication and assured them of the company’s commitment to growing their business. “I am confident that with resilience and strong partnership, we will continue to grow our business, and these vehicles will complement your fleet and support your distribution in trade.”

The selection of awardees was based on distributor performance assessment and development (DPAD).

Boladale Odunlami, Head of Sales at Nestlé, praised the hard work of the distributors and mentioned that the purpose of awarding hardworking and dedicated distributors was to motivate them and encourage others to work harder.

For her part, Deborah Kwablah, Corporate Communication and Public Affairs Manager at Nestlé, stressed the importance of the company’s partners, stating that they represent Nestlé outside Accra and make the business thrive.

“This is important to Nestlé, but it is also very important to our business partners because when you go out of Accra, it is our distributors who represent us. Our business partners make the business thrive and therefore, it is necessary to recognise them,” she said.

One of the awardees, Benjamin Otoo of Benbetty Company Limited, appreciated the initiative by Nestlé, saying that the truck won would have a positive impact on his business, especially on sales. He also highlighted the challenge of armed robbery faced by distributors and called on the Police Service to deploy more personnel on the roads to provide security for drivers.

The gesture demonstrates the company’s commitment to working with its partners to grow their businesses and provide essential services to customers.
