Gokals Healthy Optionz, a leading company in the import, distribution and services for pharmaceuticals, has embarked on a corporate health screening exercise at the Business and Financial Times (B&FT) head office in Accra.
The health screening exercise forms part of its corporate social investment initiatives aimed at delivering quality optical, pharmaceutical and other related health support to institutions, organised groups, and the general public within the communities where it operates.
According to the Gokals team, it is imperative that mobile health delivery systems are made available and enhanced to make healthcare accessible to staff of corporate institutions, as it has been observed that most of them are unable to make sufficient time off their work schedules to visit health facilities.
‘’We commit to providing free comprehensive eye screening and related services to all corporate institutions, and to driving this preventive healthcare delivery agenda through preventive interventions and education, early detection and treatment, and intermediate case management provisions. This will ensure that people can identify their eye health status, and can align their lifestyles to maximise their sight power for healthy family living,’’ the team indicated.
The team consisted of a professional Optometrist, a Pharmacist, a Health Education staff, and a Medical Assistant.
The staff of Business and Financial Times actively participated in the exercise and were excited about the intervention from Gokals Healthy Optionz.
