Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel unveils The Phoenix Restaurant

The Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel has officially transitioned its iconic Sankofa Restaurant into the newly rebranded The Phoenix Restaurant Accra, a transformation that symbolises the hotel’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the hospitality industry.

At the official opening, Isaac Okpoti Adjei, Executive Assistant Manager, Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel, reflected on the journey that has led to this significant milestone.



“Almost 13 years ago, the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel opened its doors with a promise of delivering international hospitality service with a local touch,” he said.

The Sankofa Restaurant, a central feature of the hotel, became a beloved venue for its healthy breakfasts, sumptuous buffets, and renowned Sunday brunches, making it a favorite for family events and social gatherings.

However, recognising the need for renewal, Mr. Adjei explained the decision to transition from Sankofa to Phoenix, embracing a symbol that represents resilience, rebirth, and the promise of a bright future.
