The Sepe Dote Health Centre at Asokore Mampong Municipality in the Ashanti Region has received medical equipment from ASA Savings and Loans Limited, Aboabo 2 Business Centre branch, to enhance healthcare delivery.

The items include trail lens, an electronic blood pressure machine, laboratory stools, electronic scales for new-born babies, mattresses, a microscope as well as pulse oximeters and some plastic chairs.

At a brief presentation at the health facility, Area Manager, Mavis Owusu Adwoa Owusu, explained that the trail lens and microscope were donated to assist and improve services at the newly created Eye Centre at the facility.

She emphasised that ASA Savings and Loans, aside from its objective of providing financial services to assist people, also seeks wellbeing of the people by contributing to Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) for the community.

Branch Manager of the company, Ishmaila Iddrisu Ansah, said donating this medical equipment will improve the health centre’s services to the people.

“If the people have good health, they will have the strength to go about their activities and take care of their families,” he said.

He added that: “With Dote Health Centre being the only government health centre in the municipality, the donated equipment will go a long way to improve health care services”.

Director at Sepe Dote Health Centre, Rev. Solomon Anum-Doku, and his team were highly impressed and grateful to ASA Savings and Loans for the timely donation.

“We are in the process of upgrading the health centre to a polyclinic. The equipment will improve general services at the health centre, especially the eye and laboratory centre; and will attract more patients to seek medical attention here,” he added.

He called on philanthropists and institutions operating in the municipality to support the facility to operate effectively and efficiently.
