E-Jobs4All initiative to address youth unemployment

The Community and Entrepreneurial Development Initiative (CEDI) will from Monday, September 25, 2023 to Friday, September 29, 2023 bring together distinguished individuals including foreign diplomats, high-level officials, policymakers, scholars, investors, CEOs and entrepreneurs to discuss and explore opportunities for fostering entrepreneurship, job creation and empowerment for youth and women in Ghana.

This initiative, known as the Entrepreneurship Jobs for All (E-Jobs4All) Summit, will be held at the JACCD Design Institute Africa, North Legon-Accra, under the theme ‘Entrepreneurship and innovation: the key to sustainable and decent jobs and wealth creation’.

This summit is a collaborative initiative involving the government of Ghana under the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations; the Dunin-Deshpande Queen’s Innovation Centre at Queen’s University, Canada; and Leadogo Incorporated, Canada, with support from the National Alternative Employment Livelihood Programme (NAELP) under the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources. We are addressing poverty and youth unemployment in Ghana by providing free entrepreneurship training, mentorship and investment opportunities to thousands of Ghanaian youth to develop and launch their businesses.



The conference will be chaired by Professor Emeritus Stephen Adei, a renowned economist, leadership expert, social entrepreneur and the first Rector of GIMPA. Among the programme speakers are Martine Moreau, Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana; Sam Okudzeto, Member of the Council of State; Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, and many others.

The discussions will feature influential business leaders and CEOs such as Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, MP and businessman; Nana Dr. Michael Agyekum Addo, Founder of Mikaddo Holdings; Dr. Louise Carol Serwaa Donkor, National Coordinator, National Alternative Employment and Livelihood Programme (NAELP); Prince Kofi Amoabeng, Founder of UT Holdings; R. Yofi Grant, CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre; Joyce Ababio, President, JACCD Design Institute Africa, and many others. They will be moderated by Mr. Akwasi Afriyie and Desmond Okraku Danso, a broadcast Journalist.

International speakers who will join us in Ghana include Professor Greg Bavington, Executive Director of Dunin-Deshpande Queen’s Innovation Centre at Queen’s University, Canada; Matt Hawksley, CEO of Leadogo Incorporated, Canada; Hadas Zucker, PwC Global Sustainable Innovation Manager, Germany, and many others.

Joining us online are globally recognised figures including His Excellency Youssef Chahed, Former Prime Minister of Tunisia; His Excellency Dr. Rollan Roberts, Presidential Candidate in the USA; Ediola Pashollari, Secretary-General of the World Assembly of Youth, and other prominent voices.

Distinguished academics participating in this discussion to contribute their insights and expertise include Professor Dr. Lawrence Lowell, First Graduate School Coordinator at Valley View University, Kumasi campus and Executive Chairman of CEDI; Professor Stanley Moffatt, President of Data Link Institute of Business and Technology; Professor Gabriel Eshun, Technical Advisor, Ministry of Tourism; Professor Kingsley Opoku Appiah, Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance at KNUST, along with many others.
