The Digital Marketing Consultant of Women’s Premier League side Berry Ladies Football Club and Division 1 side, Kumasi Sports Academy Ladies Football Club, Samuel Kwame Boadu has said that Dr. Gifty Oware-Mensah deserves the Ghana Football Association Ex-Co Slot.

The Founder of SamBoad Business Group Limited is positive that Dr. Gifty Oware-Mensah when giving the chance will bring her expertise on board as a representative of women’s football on the Executive Committee (ExCo) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

“Gifty Oware-Mensah we all know has served in football administration for over a decade and what she has done with and for not only Berry Ladies Football Club but other clubs shows her readiness to change the narrative for Women’s Football in Ghana,” Samuel Kwame Boadu added.

Touting her credentials in a recent interview,  Dr Gifty Oware-Mensah said: “I am a better candidate because of the continuation and policy proposals I present. I believe the message is what defines each contender.”

She was of the view that tackling women’s football development from the grassroots with primary focus on policy planning and education, as well as alternative vocations for the footballers, is the remedy for the women’s game in the country.

On what makes Samuel Kwame Boadu vouch for Gifty Oware-Mensah, he said: “It’s about the passion I see her exhibit for the love of Women’s Football, the vision she has for the game and anytime we meet to discuss about Berry Ladies FC and Kusa Ladies FC, her speeches are always towards the development of Women’s Football in Africa especially Ghana. I know that Dr. Gifty Oware-Mensah can continue the works done by the incumbent, Hajia Habiba Atta, and the charge to finish the race she has started.”

Mrs. Oware-Mensah, who also serves as the Vice President of Ghana Premier League side, Berekum Chelsea, and Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Secretariat, described the current state of football administration in the country thus: “It is evolving into a proper system and I believe the future is bright.”
