Glovo launches its multi-category delivery service

Glovo, one of the world’s leading multi-category delivery players, has launched its operations in Ghana to provide on-demand service of pick-up and delivery with a starting price of GH¢2.

The multi-category delivery start-up entered Africa in 2018 and is currently present in four countries on the continent – Uganda, Kenya, Ivory Coast and Morocco.

Glovo aims to make the lives of Ghanaians easier by providing access to convenient delivery services in Accra from local restaurants, stores, supermarkets and businesses in the city.

Through the Glovo app, users can simply log-on and order food, groceries and drinks; or they can send a courier to pick up items they need. The app also has a special feature known as the ‘anything’ category, which allows consumers to order whatever they want from restaurants, grocery chains, pharmacies and retail stores.

She explained that Glovo doesn’t just specialise in food delivery. “We give you access to any form of delivery you need, including grocery shopping. We are bringing convenience on delivery and pick up. Our service is very much oriented to customer satisfaction”.

Madam Budu assured that workers from Glovo are trained bi-weekly on safety precautions, including adhering to all COVID-19 protocols. She also assured that Glovo has a team of professional customer-assistants on standby who take in complaints and feedback, as well as assisting with any challenges customers may face.

Founded in 2015, the Spanish company is seeking to bring affordability, convenience and comfort to the world with operations in over 20 countries and over 140 cities.
