My First Steps International School commemorated its 5th-anniversary celebration with a graduation for their 5th to 6th graders and a speech and prize-giving activity to celebrate excellence and cultural diversity.

The school indeed believes that excellence starts with a first step, and this was evidently demonstrated by the kids who exhibited their early academic journey skills to commemorate the august occasion.

Pupils of the school performed poems, rhymes and musical and dramatic displays, among others, to entertain parents and all invited guests in a demonstration of the effective teaching and learning system deployed by the school.

All students were awarded for their sterling performance over the year, and charged to keep soaring beyond limits.

The colourful ceremony was graced by the Lebanese Ambassador to Ghana, Maher Kheir, alongside other dignitaries, parents and guests.

In his remarks, the Lebanon ambassador encouraged the children to be of the best behaviour and put their best foot forward to excel academically, since it is their key to success.

The Principal of the School, Marian Zowk, also commended teachers and parents of the school for supporting and complementing their work throughout their past five years of existence.

My First Steps International started exactly five years ago with one child in a room, and since then has massively progressed year on year to date.

The school, which is a British Council Partner School, now boasts over 70 students, an astute staff body and impressive modern-day facilities.

With a combination of very educational and interesting activities and curriculums, the school has helped groom and transform the lives of its children – who speak fondly about it. Parents also boast about the confidence it has bestowed on them and their wards.

Teachers of the school were also appreciated with certificates for their utter dedication to work, and some special guests likewise received awards from the school.
