The church owes Ghana quality people!

Ignorance is not bliss in the times in which we live. The scripture declares, “But know this, that in the last days, perilous times will come (2 Timothy 3:1 NKJV).” Do the last days make the times difficult, or do difficult times make our days the last days? Truthfully, difficult times have been in effect since the fall of Adam. Nevertheless, a prominent feature of these last days will be difficulties. As unpleasant as difficulty is, it can provide the contrast needed to reveal the quality in a person or a people. Sadly, many people are not built, through practical discipleship, for challenging times. Our streets, homes and spaces are becoming populated with victims and casualties of difficulties.  The above text is a prediction of the certainty of difficulties in the days in which we live. And yet the presence of difficulties, is not a brilliant excuse for not fulfilling your purpose and running the errand for which God brought you to the earth. The average, mediocre, mentally lazy and spiritually inept will not survive these perilous times. Fulfilling purpose is only possible to the person who is willing and committed to struggle to improve. If you struggle to improve, you will not struggle to live.

What Makes the Times Difficult?

2 Timothy 3:2-4 NKJV

For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.

The verse above gives us the reason for the difficulties in the last days. It is the kind of people on the scene, that gives definition to the times as hard. When people become the characterisation of these negative values in any nation or society, there will be hard times in those jurisdictions. It is people who determine the times. If the people change the times will change.  It is like a person swimming in a shark-infested water. The danger is not with the water but with the creatures that lie therein. Therefore, if you are unprepared, men will run you out of your assigned space. Whilst the kingdom of darkness is seeking to populate our society with   these kinds of men. The Church of the Lord Jesus must flood our societies men and women of the kingdom galvanised by the Character and ability of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22, 1Corinthians 12:7-9).

What are you becoming?

Quality people are the answer to the difficult times. Your income is not as important as who you are becoming. If your income is higher than who you are becoming, you don’t have a future and you won’t survive the times. If you are becoming more than your income, you have a future. This is why wealth gotten by vanity will soon diminish. Make up your mind to grow and develop no matter what. Become kingdom-minded. Become God’s representative where ever you are. Do not waste the opportunities you have in your assigned space. Do not function in your space without an agenda. The Kingdom of God is your only agenda in your assigned space.

The Purpose of the Church

You have to understand that God’s Kingdom agenda is to influence people, places and spaces with the character, ability and wisdom of His Kingdom. It is your responsibility to influence your assigned space for Jesus.

The influence of God’s kingdom government on earth is the only purpose of the Church on the earth today. Until churches become preoccupied with this Kingdom agenda, we have deviated and consequently we will lose our saltiness and become part of the problem and not the solution. The Church in Ghana is destined to restore the dignity of Ghana through the gospel of the Kingdom of God. This grave assignment must be executed with every sense of responsibility.

Conclusion

Think about this so profoundly till it changes how you live daily. Your person must be built to withstand wicked and unreasonable men. Your presence in a particular space must affect the times for good.

What are you becoming?

Think kingdom. Take dominion.
