New Crystal Health Services Limited, a leading healthcare provider in the Ashaiman Municipality, has unveiled media personality Dr. Joyce Ekumaa Dongotey-Padi, popularly known as Ekumaa Mama Zimbi, as brand ambassador.
The first ever brand ambassador of the facility was unveiled at an event to primarily promote healthy lifestyle among residents of the area, especially women.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Wisdom Amegbletor, the Chief Executive Officer of New Crystal Health Services Limited, described Ekumaa Mama Zimbi as a woman who has passion for women and children.
According to him, she resonates with the target audience of the hospital which seeks to embark on a massive awareness creation in the nooks and crannies of the municipality on making the choices of living a healthy lifestyle. “New Crystal Health Services Limited is a secondary hospital because of the emerging threats of non-communicable diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes, cancers, among others, require special treatment and we want to create awareness,” he said.
“The whole thing is created around Mama Zimbi, whom we know has passion for women affairs; and we need her voice to help us in the awareness creation campaign in the churches, mosques, markets and other places,” Dr. Amegbletor added.
Meanwhile, Dr. Amegbletor presented an official outpatient card to Mama Zimbi in order to enjoy the services of any of his facilities.
The brand ambassador, Ekumaa Mama Zimbi, who commenced her role shortly after her outdooring, commended New Crystal Health Services Limited for selecting her among numerous women in the country and pledged to bring on board her expertise to achieve the needed results.
Regarding preventive health, Mama Zimbi urged all to make time to check on their health status, including checking their blood pressure, sugar level, weight and others, in order to arrest any emerging disease in their bodies before it becomes serious.
She cautioned the general public against self-medication, urging people to go to the hospital to discover whatever is happening.
Health service promotion
As part of moves to improve health service delivery in Ashaiman, New Crystal Health Services Limited has rolled out a healthcare promotion to provide 50 percent discount of its services to the people of Ashaiman and its environs. This ongoing promotion, according Sebbie Abednego Tetteh, Marketing Manager of the hospital, entails VIP treatment on all its services and free health screening at its medical mall.
The Ashaiman Municipal Health Director, Patience Ami Mamatah, described the facility as a key stakeholder in the health sector in the municipality which provides quality health delivery. “When you look at the health sector in Ashaiman – which involves both public and private – in a year, we see a certain figure of patients; and when we take it at 100 percent, New Crystal Health Services’ contribution is about 40 percent.
She, therefore, urged healthcare providers in the area to continue providing quality healthcare, indicating that the directorate will also continue providing the needed direction in terms of quality care and policy implementation.
