…rewards winners of ‘To Qatar We Go’ promo
FBNBank Ghana Limited has presented prizes to winners of the bank’s ‘To Qatar We Go’ promotion. In all, ten (10) customers of the bank were rewarded. Three of them won an all-expense paid trip to Qatar to watch the ongoing World Cup football tournament. The other seven customers won a 43-inch television, and a GOtv Decoder with three months’ free subscription each.
The ‘FBNBank To Qatar We Go’ promotion commenced on 1st August, 2022 and ended on the 31st October, 2022.
To enter the promotion, customers were required to make recurring deposits of up to GH¢5,000 in their individual current or savings account within the promotion period. The more deposit customers made above the GH¢5,000 threshold, the more they increased their chances of winning.
At the end of October, the grand draw was held in Accra, where the customers who emerged winners were selected through an electronic draw supervised by the National Lottery Authority (NLA).
Speaking at the presentation ceremony held in Accra, Managing Director of the FBNBank, Victor Yaw Asante, noted that as a bank that is willing to support sports, especially the Black Stars, the promo was a way of garnering support for the team in the tournament.
He further indicated that it was not enough supporting just the team, hence, the bank’s decision to also extend to the fans who are customers of the bank as well.
“As a bank, we made a cash donation of GH¢200,000 to the Black Stars during their preparations for the tournament. This was our contribution to putting the team in great shape so as to increase their opportunities to put in an improved performance at the World Cup.
“The ‘To Qatar We Go’ promotion by the FBNBank was to garner support for the Black Stars and put the weight of the country behind them in order for them to make us all proud. We did this because we believe in Ghana.
“Our brand enjoins us to put our stakeholder first, and that is exactly what we have set out to do here by supporting the Black Stars to prepare for the World Cup and to provide opportunities for Ghanaians to be behind them,” he said.
The Bank’s MD congratulated all winners and wished those who will be travelling to Qatar a safe trip and great experience.
Hakeem Abuba, an Oil Marketer who banks with the East Legon branch of the FBNBank and one of the three winners travelling to Qatar, shared with the B&FT his excitement about experiencing the World Cup tournament.
“It is a good opportunity to explore and get to learn a lot of things around the world,” he added.
