Leading vegetable producer and agro-processing company Maphlix Trust Ghana Ltd. has been ranked in sixth position by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) at the recently held Ghana Club 100 awards hosted by the Centre in Accra.

As a top player in the food production and processing industry in Ghana, the company engages in the production and sale of varied food crops of vegetables, grains, roots and tubers for export.

Apart from the production and export of some major food crops such as yam, orange fleshed sweet potato (OFSP), and fresh vegetables and fruit, Maphlix equally adds value to root and tuber crops such as cassava, yam and potato by processing.

Speaking on the recognition and leap in current rankings, company CEO Dr. Felix Kamassah expressed gratitude to the GIPC for acknowledging the company’s efforts.

“This recognition means that we are doing something right in the horticultural industry, and this will motivate us to do more. Moving from 27th position in the previous year to sixth position this year means a lot to us at Maphlix. Hopefully, we’ll be ranked number-one next year, as we continue working hard to positively change the narrative in the agribusiness sector,” Dr. Kamassah indicated.

Dr. Kamassah also doubles as president of the Ghana Vegetable Producers and Exporters Association (Ghana Vegetables).

As a foremost agribusiness company, targetting the entire vegetable value chain, Maphlix Trust Ghana is a member of various industry and international bodies.

The organisation is a member of the Ghana Vegetable Producers and Exporters Association (Ghana Vegetables), Association of Ghanaian Industries (AGI), Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI), Federation of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE), International Potato Centre (CIP) and Europe-Africa-Caribbean-Pacific Liaison Committee (COLEACP) – an international body that connects producers of food crops in the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries to their consumers in Europe.

Maphlix’s current business units include agricultural production, agro-processing, agronomy and input supply.

The company’s vision is to be an industry-leader for the production and supply of high quality food and industrial products in Africa, working together with smallholder farmers to meet the needs of worldwide consumers and other relevant stakeholders in the agricultural value chain.
