Zeepay Ghana has announced a partnership with the Ghana Black Stars, as the national team’s Official Fintech Partner leading up to the 2022 World Cup.

Zeepay’s partnership with the Ghana Football Association will create close links with football lovers across Africa and beyond, bringing them into a community that can ignite their passion for creating digital wealth and give them access to numerous digital finance opportunities.

Zeepay is a leading mobile financial services company, a Ghanaian-owned award-winning fintech company with multiple offices across Ghana, the UK and through its partners in Europe.

Godfried Boakye, Chief Financial Officer said: “As a wholly Ghanian-owned company, we are thrilled to be partnering up with the Black Stars – who are being led into the world cup by a Ghanian Coach for the first time in a long time. Given our previous partnership with the local football team Asante Kotoko, this new relationship gives us an opportunity to keep building on our presence in the world of football”.

According to Zeepay Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Dede Quarshie: “The World Cup will be bigger than any other sporting event this year. That’s why we are proud to be working closely with the Ghana Football Association in securing this partnership. This is just the beginning of an exciting journey with the Ghana Black stars to the 2022 World Cup, and we look forward to taking you along with us”.

In his remarks at the signing event held at Zeepay Headquarters, the GFA President Kurt Okraku said: “We are super-happy that today we have a new partner in Zeepay. Indeed, this relationship is for an initial one-year period and it’s our hope that it will be a marriage that lasts forever”.
