Samini, Akwaboah, Camido & Africa Child to ‘vibrate’ Oseikrom on Easter Sunday

Sapphire Gardens, a popular open air recreational centre located at Atasomanso in Kumasi will be the venue for the climax of the Easter festivities in Kumasi dubbed: ‘Easter to Remember’.
The event which features renowned and popular artistes like Samini, Akwaboah, Camidoh and African Child, promises to be a night to remember.
Organisers of the event, spearheaded by the CEO of SAPPHIRE Gardens – Mr. Yaw Brefo, have put together some side attractions to create a difference to make music lovers and Easter celebrants in Kumasi have a soothing celebration.
Sapphire Gardens, a popular open air event grounds currently making impact in the entertainment and pop show industry in Ghana, is committed to bringing to Ghanaian entertainment lovers the lofty of live band music and always whetting the appetite of live music lovers in Kumasi.
The ‘Easter to Remember’ show is one of the biggest events to be hosted by the Sapphire Gardens in Kumasi, coming after ‘January to Remember’, which was a great success, creating the platform for Kumasi entertainment lovers to call for more, hence this upcoming ‘Easter to Remember’ slated for this Sunday on April 17.
Organisers are making a lot of considerations, particularly, in ensuring that every music lovers gets the opportunity to be part of this historic event and cool off after some months of hard work into the year 2022, and to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Tickets have been categorised in VIP and regular basis, and moderately charged to suit the pockets of lovers of good music, entertainment and Easter celebrants.
Also bringing innovations into such events, the organisers have devised a plan to make seating within the quadrangle a more relaxing one. There is Samini Lounge, Akwaboah Lounge, Camido Lounge as well as Kumoo Lounge, attracting some moderate rates – all for the fantastic viewing and listening pleasure to peak the enjoyment of the show.

Artistes’ Profile – Samini
Emmanuel Samini, the artiste formerly known as Batman is comparable to Prince and Diddy, not because of their frequent name changes, but for their achievements in music. He hails from Wa in the Upper West Region.
From his very modest beginning as guest artiste on many hit singles, Batman soon won over the hearts of many young women and indeed any lover of good music with his flawless vocal ability, punchy lyrics and exciting infusion of reggae and dancehall rhythms with African beats and panache. His catchphrase, ‘Kpooi’, is loved dearly by his fans and according to him, it’s a gunshot sound meant for all the backbiters.
Today, Samini can pride himself as a consummate musician with several Ghana Music Awards including Best Artiste of 2007, and a Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Award. He also won the 2008 Hip-hop World Award for Best African Artiste in Nigeria. He has performed in Canada, UK, Holland, Italy, and Nigeria.
He has shared the stage with artistes like shaggy and Ja Rule; and he has collaborated with artistes from all over Africa.
He tells B&FT Weekend in an interview that his fans in Kumasi must expect a spectacular performance as he comes with improved live stage performance and his known creativity instant creation of lyrics to suit the occasion.
Akwaboah Jnr.
Gladstorm Kwabena Akwaboah Jnr, known by his stage name Akwaboah Jnr., is a Ghanaian singer-songwriter and producer. He wrote ‘Daa Ke Daa’ for Becca and ‘Ayeyi Ndwom’ for DSP Kofi Sarpong.
Both songs won their respective artistes’ awards at the 2010 Ghana Music Awards with Akwaboah subsequently being adjudged the ‘Songwriter for the Year’ for ‘Daa Ke Daa’.
Akwaboah, who is a master keyboardist, has played for several local and international artistes including Hugh Masekela and John Legend, and has assisted several musicians to make it big in the industry.
CAMIDOH
Camidoh is a Ghanaian Afropop /R&B singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer. He is known to have released the hit song titled ‘Available’ which featured Eugy. The song had over 50k views on YouTube in one week.
He developed the love and passion for music around the age of 14, drawing his inspirations from Senegalese-American singer – Akon, Chris Brown, etc.
Camidoh is signed to a Ghanaian-indie record label called GRIND DONT STOP CO. LTD. He had his big break into the Ghanaian music scene after the release of his single, ‘For My Lover’, produced by himself. Since then, he has been relentless in making amazing music.
He has performed on big stages in Ghana including Citi Fm’s Decemba2Rememba, and Sarkodie’s ‘This Is Tema, Rapahohic 2020’, among others.
He embarked on a successful UK tour in March 2020 which landed him yet to release a collaboration with UK-based Ghanaian musician, producer and Juls and other top UK artistes.
