Zenith Bank has been at the fore of driving innovation in the industry, serving as a voice of reassurance during uncertainty and being the standard-bearer for what customers have come to expect from a bank.
This has come about, not by waving a magic wand but through dedication to its founding ethos. These principles of Belief in God, Integrity and Keeping the Service Promise have been demonstrated through Zenith’s continuous investment in people, technology, and excellent customer service.
With 40 business locations across the nation, Zenith Bank remains head and shoulder above its peers and a market leader, as evidenced by its position as one of the strongest banking brands and one of the country’s largest banks by market capitalisation, profitability, and total assets.
Zenith Bank was not only a calming influence when the nation witnessed the biggest shakeup to its financial ecosystem in history, but when the modern world witnessed its most defining moment in more than a century, with the advent of COVID-19.
Digital Native
An enduring legacy of the pandemic will be the rapid rate of digitalisation that it brought in its wake. As a forward-thinking bank, Zenith had laid the groundwork for the new normal even before it became a fad
Some measures introduced by the bank enhanced financial inclusion, interaction and engagement with its customers, stakeholders, as well as prospective clients.
Zenith Bank deployed its enhanced USSD code *966#, to allow for instant account opening without visiting the branch, transfer funds, and enable individuals, SMEs, and large corporates to receive payments in real-time directly into their accounts.
Additional products such as GlobalPay, Zenith Corporate Internet Banking, Point of Sale Terminals, and a wide array of cards (Visa and Mastercard, Cruz-Card, Eazypay GH Dual Card, GlobalTravelWallet card, etc.) were also enhanced to provide consumers with a better experience.
Due to its credibility, Zenith Bank is one of the partner banks for the Ghana.Gov initiative introduced by the government to simplify and boost revenue collection.
Zenith Bank Ghana also unveiled an all-new website to give its customers an improved feel and experience. The feature-rich website has a user-friendly interface, an enriched Live Chat user experience, an upgraded Media Centre as well as an enhanced Complaints and Suggestions portal.
Very early in the game, Zenith Bank launched Zenith Direct, a 24-Hour Contact Centre, which has been instrumental in assisting customers, resolving issues and challenges faced, 24hours a day, weekends and holidays inclusive. Today, Zenith Direct has helped to drastically reduce the extent of physical contact the bank has with its customers.
Women-focused
As part of its aggressive retail banking drive and acutely aware of the financial inequality faced by women, in particular, which has been exacerbated by the pandemic, the bank rolled out Z-Woman, a product designed to increase financial inclusion among women, improve their entrepreneurial skills and enhance their lifestyles.
