The Jospong Group of Companies is one of the most diversified holdings companies in Ghana with operations in other African countries and Asia. The company has business interest in about 14 sectors of the economy with its biggest operations in Waste management.

Established in 1995, as a printing press, the company has since its inception experienced phenomenal growth and now has operations covering diverse sectors with over 60 companies with a focus on delivering quality services and products using simple technology at competitive prices.

Jospong Group’s core business is to identify gaps, churn out innovative businesses and build capacities to provide value, and nurture them to become market leaders; fit to play on both the local and international markets.

The Jospong Group of Companies has blazed the trail in the daunting task of managing waste in the country in a professional manner. As a result of this great feat, the company received a total of eighteen (18) awards for the year 2020/2021 in recognition of its contribution to the development of the country.

For ease of administration, the vast range of operations of the Group have been selectively grouped into five clusters which is controlled by an Apex Board and supervised under five Chief Operating Officers for each cluster, with an Apex COO that oversees all operations.

Environment and Sanitation

This is the largest group which covers over 60% of the Jospong Group operations with businesses in the circular economy space comprising of waste management in terms of public cleansing and residential waste collection, transfer stations, recycling-both plastic and organic waste and landfills management. It holds the most individual subsidiaries and the highest percentage profit contribution to the Group.

This Group boasts of about 29 different companies starring the biggest subsidiary Zoomlion Ghana Limited and its sister companies in ZL International, Zoom Domestic, Alliance Waste, Zoompak Limited, and other affiliated waste processing and recovery companies such as Integrated Recycling Compost Plant (IRECOP), Sewerage Systems, Zoil Services which deals exclusively in oil waste, Rural Waste, Kumasi Compost Plant, Waste Landfill, Dredge Masters, Accra Compost and Recycling Plant and a facility management provider Universal Cleaning Services (UCS).

Commercial and Allied Services

With a percentage profit of 16% contribution, the Commercial and Allied Services cluster is the second highest profit contributing cluster to the Jospong Group of Companies. It is headed by Mrs, Dora Yeboah Boateng who steers the affairs 6 solid subsidiaries. This cluster generally consists of companies that sees to the operations of the Jospong Group in its customer facing services such as Multimedia, Hospitality, Printing and publishing, Human Resource outsourcing and consulting services and other allied services. It boasts of one of the earliest established founding company in Appointed Time Printing, a major television giant Metro TV, AH Hotel with a state of the art room and restaurant services, Africa Institute of Sanitation and Waste Management, Acreaty and Dumgya.

Technical and Logistics

There are 13 companies under the Technical and Logistics cluster. Businesses under this Group are into manufacturing, building and construction, Automobile and equipment, Ports and Logistics Services, Agriculture and Agro business, Mining and quarry as well as oil and gas. These companies include Sino Africa, JSA Logistics, Amaris Terminal, Road Safety Management, JA Plantpool, JA Hiring, Yutong, Vehicle Assembly Plant, JA Quarry, Universal Plastic Production and Recycle, Ayensu Starch, Park House, JSA Farms. All are fully functional and are situated in various parts of the country.

Information and Communication Technology

The Cluster is made up of Subah Infosolution, Property Data Bank, DocuPro, Melchia Investment centers. The companies leverage on each other’s strength to provide excellent solutions in the information technology space including software development, programming, website development, auditing of Telcos, simbox fraud detection as well digital archiving of documents.  This group also provides data collection services and cyber security operations.

Financial Services

This Group brings together companies with a broad range of more specific activities such as banking, investing, and insurance. It boasts of a universal bank – OmniBSIC Bank, two Insurance companies-one in general insurance – Millenium Insurance and the other in health – Cosmopolitan Insurance, a venture capital company – Union Capital, a pensions trust and a digital payment platform company.
