First Finance CEO wins Best in Pensions Award at 40 Under Forty

The Chief Executive Officer of First Finance Company Limited, Gloria Akoto has won the Best Personality in Pensions category at the just ended 40 Under Forty Achievers Awards held at Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.

Forty under 40 Awards is an initiative from Xodus Communications Limited which seeks to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the national most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age of forty from a wide range of industries.

The prestigious award is a recognition of Madam Akoto’s dedication and commitment in building the financial sector, especially pension schemes as well as being highly respected advocating for best practices in the field.

Speaking to the media after receiving the awards, she expressed her profound gratitude to her family, friends, staffs and clients for their commitment to pushing the vision and mission of the company.

Madam Akoto took the opportunity to call on the public to take decisions regarding planning for retirement seriously and make adequate plans early towards their retirement in order to have a comfortable retirement.

Furthermore, she reiterated that individuals need to set various goals toward different investment portfolios instead of lumping up all investment into one basket. She further mentioned that mutual funds are a sure way to create wealth.
