MTN Hitmaker 9: Nessa Cute evicted


Nessa Cute, the youngest competitor in the race, has become the latest evictee from the season 9 of the music reality show, MTN Hitmaker, making it impossible for her to eye the  GHS120,000 recording deal set up for the winner remainng contestants

In the run-up to the live show at the Accra International Conference Centre over the weekend, the 20-year-old singer was amongst the 3 contestants with the lowest score but was unfortunately evicted after the Judges decided to save Bryan and Mimi for the next episode of the competition.

Her eviction sums up five, the number of competitors who have so far been evicted from the competition. The rest are Jimi, Pashyn, Kwacy Boat, and RBJ.

This week, Adepa, the masked performer, walked away with the Pulse Moment award  for amassing the highest score in the week leading up to last Saturday’s live show.

Koby Tuesday’s performance of Kuami Eugene’s ‘Obiaato’ hit track attracted accolades from the judges as well as the audience as he has struggled all through the season to earn higher marks.

Guest Judge, Kwami Eugene was impressed by their performance and urged the public to vote for their favorite contestants by texting the names of their favorite contestants to the shortcode 1470 across all networks. Alternatively, voting can be done via the MTN Pulse app.

Currently, only seven contestants are left to fight for the ultimate price. They were advised to up their game and deliveries in order to stay in the competition and stand a better chance of emerging winners.
