The maiden edition of Improve 101 has been confirmed for April 2 and 5 at Tema Community 6, the workshop’s organizers Rjay Studio, Creative Vision and Quarme Akoto have said.
The workshop was inspired by everyday questions organizers got from practicing photographers and aspiring photographers as they continue to search for ways to improve and take the craft to the next level.
The organizers said the workshop was set up with the vision of “encouraging more people to venture into photography and improve their skills whether they fancy wedding, portrait photography or other forms of photography.”
“This workshop is for beginners, makeup artistes, wedding photographers, bloggers and photo enthusiasts. This is a great opportunity for everyone interested in photography. We want to create a new age of photography professional who will take the profession to another level.
There are many people at who home who take this up and we encourage all to come and get this life changing experience. I say it life changing because it has made all of us the tutors who we are and opened many doors for us. Once you come in you are self-employed.
We are also encouraging churches, societies and other groups to gather the youth amongst them to come and take part in this. You never know the life you would be touching for life,” Quarme Akoto revealed in an interview.
The event will unfold in three parts: ‘Photography Starter Pack’ which will cover Acquiring gear, camera settings adjustments and more. ‘Editing and Retouching Starter Pack’ cover lightroom/photoshop editing, basic retouching and more. The ‘Lighting Starter Pack’ will tackle natural Light techniques and artificial light techniques. Improve 101 Workshop will be an annual workshop to help more people get into photography and you can sign up by calling 0249041510/0243822289.
