The Joana Gyan Foundation, the charity arm of the Golden Empire Legacy Holdings in its continued efforts to support community development is providing relief items to deprived mining communities in the Agona Wassa Amenfi district.
Under the tag, ‘We Are In Your City’, the three-day community support amid the COVID-19 pandemic, would, according to Joana Gyan, the foundation’s founder and CEO of the conglomerate, see the team visit and engage the community and give back to her native town.
It’s also her goal that this initiative will change the Agona Wassa Amenfi community to be the preferred district in the region.
She added that the foundation would be donating items such as consumables, clothing, and also undertake fumigation of churches and schools valued at a total value of US$100,000 dollars. Also she expressed her incredible thanks to all partners and staff for the support towards the planning of the event and admonished each and everyone to engage with the town folks during the visit since it will impact their socio economic wellbeing.
Forging ahead the organization pledged its commitment towards sustainable projects in mining communities towards the production of green gold to benefit of the country at large.
