QNET, the international lifestyle and wellness direct selling company, has confirmed that it is not banned in Ghana and is unaware of any court case or judgment scheduled for Saturday, July 20, 2025, involving its operations.
The company issued the clarification following what it described as recent media reports that have misidentified it with unrelated and illegal entities dissolved by a 2022 High Court ruling.
The confusion appears to stem from the dissolution of Q-NET Investment Limited by the High Court in Suit No. CM/WBC/0786/2021. That ruling, QNET said, has been wrongly interpreted by some outlets and officials as being directed at its operations.
The company insists that Q-NET Investment Limited, which has a hyphen (-) in its name and was focused on unregulated investments, is a separate and unaffiliated entity that falsely operated under a similar name.
To clarify the matter, QNET petitioned the Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice, which in July 2023 confirmed in writing that QNET was not the subject of the court’s decision. According to the then-Deputy Attorney-General, Alfred Tuah-Yeboah, “We have perused the said judgment as well as your petition and are of the opinion that the Honourable Court did not in any way link the company QNET and Q-NET Investment Limited.”
The statement further noted that the court’s decision was based solely on evidence presented against Q-NET Investment Limited, which was found to be operating in violation of corporate law.
QNET’s Regional General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Biram Fall, said the company remains fully compliant with Ghanaian laws and continues to work closely with relevant authorities to counter fraudulent operations.
“Some security agencies and media outlets seem to have mistaken that judgment as being against QNET. To date, no legally empowered court or regulatory body has banned QNET,” he said.
In response to the public confusion, QNET has engaged the Ghana Police Service, media organisations, and foreign missions to correct the record. The Daily Graphic subsequently issued a correction making clear that QNET was not the entity dissolved by the court. QNET has also cooperated with law enforcement to expose and prosecute those misusing its brand. In August 2024, the company conducted a briefing session with over 200 officers at the Detective Training Academy in Tesano.
The company has escalated over 70 fraud cases to authorities and assisted more than 300 victims across the sub-region. Its ongoing anti-scam campaign, ‘QNET Against Scams’, uses traditional and digital platforms to raise public awareness about illegal schemes and misrepresentation.
QNET maintains that it is not a financial investment scheme, visa agency, or scholarship facilitator. Rather, it is a 26-year-old legitimate direct selling company, offering certified wellness, lifestyle, and personal care products.”
The company encourages the public to verify information through official sources and report suspicious activity through its compliance hotline.
