Dweteh, the Ghanaian curio merchandising brand specialising in the curation and marketing of quality locally made souvenirs, as part of last March’s Heritage Month celebrations, hosted an all female golf tournament at the ‘Center of The World’ Golf Club in Tema.
The tournament, which saw over 30 ladies from the four golf clubs in Accra namely Celebrity, Achimota, Bok Nam Kim and Center of the World – formerly known as Tema Country Club – participating, was well attended causing a fun atmosphere for all in attendance.
Angelica Ayanful, Helen Apah and Monica Myers Lamptey won the first, second and third prizes respectively. They all received prizes of ornaments inscribed with Adinkra symbols from lead sponsor Dweteh.
With a promise to make the tournament an annual affair, CEO of Dweteh, Nana Yaa Omane-Peprah, reiterated the importance of such tournaments and the participation of various clubs in fostering unity, camaraderie and networking. All participants were presented with a hamper of tee shirts and base ball cabs and other curios with Adinkra symbols.
On display were an assortment of specially curated Dweteh Adinkra branded range of souvenirs, which designs encompass Ghana’s heritage and beliefs.
