…A heartfelt message from Rev. Mrs. Rita Korankye Ankrah to Apostle General Rev. Samuel Korankye Ankrah, her husband, on his 65th birthday
My dearest Honey,
As I sit to write this message to you on the joyous occasion of your 65th birthday, my heart overflows with gratitude, love, and admiration for the man you are. Words cannot fully capture how blessed I feel to walk this life’s journey with you. You are not just my husband but my partner, my confidant, my best friend, my gossip mate, and my greatest earthly and spiritual blessing.
From the very first time I saw you at that revival at Zion College in Anloga, I knew there was something special about you. You were so young, yet your passion for God and your ability to inspire others were undeniable. That day, my life changed forever, and I gave my heart to Jesus under your ministry. Little did I know that I was also giving my heart to the man who would become my husband, the father of my children, and the love of my life.
Honey, reflecting on our journey together, I cannot help but see God’s grace woven into every chapter of our lives. We began as two strong-willed individuals, each with a history of leadership and determination.
We clashed often in the early years, but our shared faith became our anchor. Being born again taught us humility, respect, and the value of submission—not as a loss of self but as a powerful act of love and partnership.
I have truly learned and seen the benefits of biblical submission to the head of our home and even more have I seen what it is for a man to love his wife like Christ loves the Church and gave Himself for her.
You have always been a visionary, a man with big dreams and the determination to see them through. Whether it was founding the Lovers of Christ Evangelistic Ministry or taking the bold step of heeding the Lord’s command to return from Holland and build what is now Royalhouse Chapel International, you approached every challenge with unwavering faith and resilience. Your ability to lead, inspire, and impact lives has been nothing short of extraordinary.
As a husband, you have been nothing but exceptional. You have shown me love in its purest form—unshaking, sacrificial, and deeply rooted in God’s word. You have made me feel cherished every single day.
You have always included me in every aspect of your life, from financial decisions to the work of the ministry. I can access any account, take any resource, and know that you trust me fully. That transparency and trust have been the foundation of our beautiful marriage. You did not allow the circumstances of your early life negatively colour our marriage.
Your kindness and forgiveness never cease to amaze me. There have been times when people hurt you deeply—leaving the church, spreading lies, and even attempting to tarnish your name.
Yet, you have always responded with grace, welcoming them back with open arms. I have often teased you that your forgiving nature is almost frustrating, but it’s one of the qualities I admire most about you. Indeed, I have been the most frequent recipient of this grace. Your heart truly reflects God’s love, and it challenges me to be a better person every day.
Honey, your role as a father and now a grandfather fills me with so much pride. You have always been hands-on with our children, preparing them for school, helping with homework, and showing them what it means to live a life of integrity and purpose.
Our grandchildren adore you, and I see a gentler, softer, more mature side of you with them that warms my heart. They can interrupt your naps or run to you during church services —Nana Akos, Paapa, Naa Dromo and Mawuena must be jealous — and you welcome them with a smile.
The countless lives you have impacted through ministry are a testament to your dedication to God’s work. From the Aged Ministry to the School of Restoration, you have shown compassion to the vulnerable and given hope to the hopeless.
The School of Restoration, in particular, stands out as a beacon of transformation. Seeing individuals, who went from addiction to earning a PhD, is evidence of the power of God working through you.
Your vision for the City of Shiloh is another example of your incredible foresight and commitment. Together, we have created a space where people from all walks of life can come to experience God, receive training, and be empowered. The Empty Grave Temple, the campground, and the accommodations for thousands of people are proof of your dedication to building God’s kingdom here on earth.
Beyond ministry, you have shown us the importance of balance. I smile when I see you enjoying the softer blessings – your Kɔmi kɜ Kena, cheering for Chelsea and Manchester United, or heading out for a round of golf. Your ability to find joy in the little things reminds me that life is meant to be celebrated.
Honey, as you celebrate this milestone, I want you to know that you are loved deeply—not just by me and our children but by everyone whose lives you have touched. You are a leader, a giver, a worshipper, and above all, a man after God’s own heart.
On this special day, I pray that God will continue to bless you abundantly. May He grant you good health, long life, and the strength to keep fulfilling His purpose for your life. May your impact multiply, and may your legacy continue to inspire generations to come.
Thank you for being my husband, my covering, my greatest cheerleader, my spiritual father. Thank you for teaching me about love, forgiveness, and resilience.
Thank you for being the father our children look up to and the grandfather our grandchildren adore.
Indeed, attempting to do what the hymn writer said:
Count your blessings,
Name them one by one,
And it would surprise you what the Lord has done
I realise that it would take eternity and more to do that and of all my blessings, you are head and shoulders above everything else. We have many friends, many children – biological and spiritual, many business partners, but what blessing it is to say you and you alone are the “bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh.”
Happy 65th birthday, Honey. You are my everything, and I thank God every day for the gift of you. Here’s to many more years of love, laughter, and serving God together.
With all my love,
Your wife and forever partner,
Rita
