The Executive Director of Diaspora Property Investment Ltd (DPI), Sidney Justin Tehoda, has assured potential Ghanaian property investors in the United Stated States of America (U.S.A.) that they would get appropriate counsel and guidance toward investing in Ghana at the upcoming Diaspora Property Expo 2025 (DPE 2025).
Mr. Tehoda was speaking at the American launch of DPE 2025 at the Embassy of Ghana in Washington D.C. on January 22, 2025. It was held on the theme: ‘Gateway to Ghana: Unveiling Opportunities for Global Diaspora Investors.’
Diaspora Property Investment Ltd, are the main organizers of DPE 2025 in partnership with the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA), the World Trade Centre of Greater Philadelphia and the Ministry of Works, Housing & Water Resources in Ghana.
DPE 2025 was initially launched in Ghana in November 2024. It is a two-pronged programme scheduled for the U.S.A. and Canada this year with the main aim of facilitating property investment opportunities for Ghanaians abroad.
The American component is set to be held at the World Trade Centre of Greater Philadelphia from March 21 to March 23, 2025. It will bring together and showcase residential and commercial properties from Ghana’s leading developers.
At the launch in Washington D.C., Mr. Tehoda stated that: “DPE 2025 is not just about showcasing properties; it is about unlocking possibilities and delivering solutions. For the Ghanaian abroad, this is your chance to invest in the home you dream of, create wealth, and contribute meaningfully to the development of the land of your heritage.”
Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, Paramount Chief of Abeadze Traditional Area, Mankessim, and Chairman of the DPE Board, also said: “DPE 2025 is not just about bricks and mortar; it is about building dreams, creating sustainable communities, and strengthening the socio-economic ties that bind us as a people.”
The CEO of Atomu Africa Development Services LLC, Nana Kwesi Atomu II, also spoke at the launch event. Noted for his several humanitarian and social intervention activities in Ghana, he encouraged Ghanaian property developers to also consider investing in Philadelphia and the U.S.A. in general. He stated that his company, which is based in Philadelphia and Accra, in collaboration with Philadelphia’s World Trade Center, was open to help facilitate such ventures as part of DPE 2025.
Anita Bediako, a USA-based real estate investor with assets in America and Ghana, shared her success story of property ownership in Ghana.
Francis Gborglah, the Acting Head of Mission, Embassy of Ghana in Washington DC, declared the DPE 2025 formally launched. He was assisted by some personalities including Mr. Abu Usuman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Paul Cudjoe, Minister of Economic & Diaspora Affairs at the Ghana Embassy and the President of World Trade Center, Mr. Thomas Young.
Some notable personalities at the launch included Verus Nartey, the DPE 2025 Project Director and Julz Ossom, CEO of Aim2Impact in Canada. Some of the confirmed property developers expected at DPE 2025 include Nesta Homes, Lakeside Estate, Signum Development, Waylead Properties, Godkey Properties, Brickstone Properties, Libi Homes Ghana, PS Global Limited, Brix Developers and Melden Properties Ltd. Others are Indigo Homes, Blue Rose Construction Ltd, Devtraco Limited, Elranor Projects & Consults, Dover Company Ltd, Fairfax Realty, Regimanuel Gray Ltd, Trassaco , Kuber Group Africa, I2 Development, Marrita Construction Ltd and Cape May Properties.
The developers will showcase options tailored to meet all shades of needs and lifestyles including modern apartments in Accra’s bustling urban landscapes and serene beachfront properties in the regions. DPE 2025 will consist of a networking reception, an exhibition, investment clinic and conference. There will also be presentations and remarks from dignitaries, industry experts and key players in the property investment sector.
Experts will be available to offer workshops and one-on-one consultations on property investment, land acquisition, legal frameworks and financing options as a way of providing a clear path to property ownership and investment in Ghana.
