Roselyn Spencer is second keynote for 11th Angel Fair Africa

Roselyn Spencer, Former Chief Investment Officer of the $3billion Baltimore City Employees & Elected Official’s Retirement Pension Fund will be the second keynote for the highly anticipated 11th Angel Fair Africa from 7th to 8th of November 2024.

During her tenure, she successfully diversified the fund’s portfolio across major asset classes, positioning the funds to yield stronger returns while effectively managing risks. Upon retirement, Mrs. Spencer founded Cedar Pension Consulting LLC which advises pension funds in the US and Africa.



She was also Managing Director of MiDA Advisors and led the implementation of key initiatives through development of pension fund consortiums with a holistic approach for collaboration on long-term investments and co-investments. She currently serves on the board of the Teen Angel Project and would be sharing these formidable experiences during her keynote fireside chat with Tinyiko Valoyi, Partner at Chanzo Capital.

This year’s event will also feature a curated program of company pitches, dynamic panel discussions, and ample networking opportunities where investors and other stakeholders in the capital continuum alike will have the chance to meet high-growth ventures and collaborate with industry leaders, policy makers and fellow investors.

Organizers of the event have put together three distinct experiences for participants, including a half-day trip to the Nairobi National Park, a full day trip to Lake Naivasha on 9th November and a three day weekend experience on the coast of Diani from 9th to 11th November 2024.

Angel Fair Africa has partnered with Convene Africa Nexus who will sponsor AV production for this year’s fair. Kenya Airways is offering a 10% discount on flight tickets for delegates planning to attend the event whiles Little, one of Africa’s largest ride-hailing service companies is offering mobility for delegates commuting to and from the event.

According to Valentine Nashipae, CEO of Convene Africa Nexus, “Angel Fair Africa’s approach of bringing investors and entrepreneurs together falls within the remit of our thematic approach of convening the relevant stakeholders to solve for Africa’s future. We are working to make this year’s event extra-ordinary and would take it to Rwanda in 2025.”
