On the same night, the Group CEO of J.K. Horgle Transport Company, Joseph K. Horgle, received a special recognition award for his pioneering efforts in the haulage of petroleum products across the country. This tremendous honor signifies his exceptional leadership qualities and dedication to providing quality transport systems for the petroleum industry. The Downstream Gala and Awards Night is a pioneering awards scheme designed to promote compliance within the petroleum industry and to acknowledge both individual and institutional contributions to the sector’s growth and sustainability. The event was the climax of the 2024 Ghana International Petroleum Conference (GHiPCon), held on July 17-18. Organized by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) in collaboration with the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distribution (CBOD) and the Association of Oil and Marketing Companies (AOMC), and under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy, the conference brought together industry stakeholders to synergize, share resources, and celebrate high ethics within the sector.
Speaking to the media after receiving the prestigious honors, Joseph K. Horgle expressed his gratitude for the recognition. According to him, the award reflects the company’s unwavering focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations while adhering to rigorous quality standards over the years.
“I am indeed grateful for such a great recognition at this highest milestone. I started from a humble beginning in 1976, and now, I am extremely overwhelmed with this great achievement over the years. I dedicate this to my staff and cherished clients across the country,” he said.

Joseph K. Horgle is the CEO of J.K. Horgle Transport Limited, one of the prominent petroleum haulage companies in Ghana.
