Ghana-West Africa Business Excellence

The Ghana-West Africa Business Excellence Awards’ 6th edition, organised by KN Unique Communications, has recognised about 60 top companies and individuals from all aspects of the business sector in Ghana and other countries of West Africa.

The awards event provides a platform to recognise individuals and companies which have over the years played a significant role in development of the business sector. It also promotes excellence in innovation, enterprise and endeavour, while also rewarding innovative ideas that have pushed the boundaries of what is possible.

Present at the ceremony held in Accra were HRM Nana Safo Boakye III; Palestinian Ambassador to Ghana, Abdal Fatah Ahmed Khalil; and Peru Ambassador to Ghana, Abel Antonio Cárdenas Tuppia, top media personalities and many more.

HRM Nana Safo Boakye III, who happens to be the awarding board chairman, in his speech congratulated all awardees and assured entrepreneurs, innovators and business leaders of an enabling environment that aids their businesses to work in Ghana and West Africa as a whole. He also stressed the need for these businesses to aim at being part of the globalised digital economy and place their business on the world stage.

The ceremony’s purpose is to celebrate the achievements of individuals and companies which have distinguished themselves in the sector during the year under review, and saw the ultimate awards going to Mrs. Maud Lindsey-Gamrat (CEO-Atlantic Catering And Logistics Limited) Outstanding Winning CEO of the Year (Catering Services); Mr. Victor Yaw Asante (CEO-FBN Bank Ghana), who won CEO of the Year (Banking And Finance); and Madam Jane Reason Ahadzie (CEO- JRA Cosmetics Limited) who won Entrepreneur of the Year.

Acacia Health Insurance Limited won Health Insurance Company of the Year; Accra City Hotel won Hospitality Brand of the Year; Amaris Terminal Limited won Port Terminal of the Year; Amenfiman Rural Bank Limited won Rural Bank of the Year; Andev Company Limited won Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Company of the Year; Anglogold Ashanti (Iduapriem) Limited won Excellence in CSR Award (Mining); Appointed Time Printing Limited won Printing Company of The Year; Arthur Energy Advisors  won  Business Advisory Company of the Year (Energy Sector); Aviance Ghana Limited won  Ground Handling Company of the Year (Cargo Services); B5 Plus Limited – Innovative Steel Manufacturing Company of the Year;

Bel Beverages Limited (Bel Ice) won Emerging Brand of the Year; Bel Beverages Limited won Beverage Company of the Year (Non-Alcoholic); Blowchem Industries Limited won Water Company of the Year

Bui Power Authority won Energy Company of the Year; DDP Outdoor Limited won Advertising Company of the Year; Dzata Cement Limited won Cement Manufacturing Company of the Year; Emirates Airline Limited won Outstanding Safety in Airline Award; Emirates Airline Limited won International Airline of the Year; Endpoint Homeopathic Clinic won Clinic of the Year; Enterprise Insurance won Indigenous Insurance Company of the Year.

Vanguard Assurance Company Limited won General Insurance Company of the Year; Far East Mercantile Limited Ghana won FMCG Distribution Company of the Year; Frimps Oil Company Limited won Petroleum Retail Brand of the Year; Gaso Petroleum Limited won Oil and Gas Service Company of the Year; Happy Sunshine Company Limited won Tomato Paste Manufacturing Company of the Year; Innovare Ghana won Information Technology Training Company of the Year; J.K. Ahiadome Transport & Company Limited won  Transport Company of the Year (Oil/Gas); JRA Cosmetics Limited won Cosmetics Company of the Year; KabFam Ghana Limited won Electronics Company of the Year; Omega Risk Solutions Ghana Limited won Safety and Security Company of the Year; Plot Enterprise Ghana won Agro Processing Company Of The Year; Ramoth Services Limited won Contract Mining Company of the Year; Rocksters Roofing Systems Limited won  Roofing Company of the Year; and Sam J Specialist Hospital won Healthcare Provider of the Year (Hospital).

SMEC Ghana won Project Management Consultancy of the Year; Sunon Asogli Power (Ghana) Limited won Renewable Energy Company of the Year; Sunshine Healthcare Ltd. won Medical Diagnostic Company of the Year; TotalEnergies Ghana won Oil Marketing Company of the Year; Triple ‘A’ Enterprise Limited won Security Printing Company of the Year; Maurya Education Limited (UCMAS Ghana Limited) won Outstanding Contributions to the Education Sector.

Chase Petroleum Ghana Limited – Outstanding Contributions to The Energy Sector; Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited won Financial Institution of the Year (Bank); Ghana Link Network Services Ltd won Information Technology Company of the Year; Samartex Timber & Plywood Company Limited won Excellence in CSR Award (Agribusiness); Atlantic Lithium won Exploration Company of the year (Mining); Kingdom Exim Limited won Exporter of the Year.

Basileia Shipping and Logistics won Shipping Company of the Year; M&G Pharmaceuticals Ltd won Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company of the Year; Enterprise Funeral Services Ghana Limited (EFSG) won Funeral Service Company of the Year; Kofikrom Pharmacy Limited won Pharmaceutical Distribution Company of the Year; Adonko Bitters Limited won Alcoholic Beverage Company of the Year; E. Wells Realty & Consultancy won Real Estate Brokerage Company of the Year; and Centre For Plant Medicine Research won Medicine Research Company of the Year.
