Central Expo 2023 slated for August 25 in Cape Coast

The Central Regional Coordinating Council (CRCC) in partnership with TIAST Group officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to host this year’s Central Expo 23.

Central Expo 2023, scheduled for August 25 to September 2 in Cape Coast, Ghana, aims to promote investment, trade, and tourism in the Central Region.

Themed “Central Regional Investment, Trade and Tourism Expo Ghana,” the one-week fair preceding the Ogua Fetu Afashe festival seeks to facilitate collaboration and attract foreign investors, especially from China, to the Central Region. The partnership between the organizers will provide a platform for networking, business expansion, and exploring investment opportunities in the region.



The expo will take place at Adisadel College Park and will be open daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. It is anticipated to have more than 400 exhibitors from private, government, and corporate sectors, welcoming over 30,000 visitors. Chinese companies from various industries, including technology, machinery, chemicals, health, engineering, and agriculture, will participate to foster innovation and knowledge-sharing with their Ghanaian counterparts.

The event is set to be graced by distinguished guests, including Ghana’s Vice President, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Ministers of State, Members of Parliament, all 22 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Central Region, members of the Diplomatic Corps, Chiefs, Queen mothers of the Central Region, the business community, and the media fraternity.

Kingsley Agyei Boahene, Chief Director of the Central Regional Coordinating Council, expressed delight in this collaboration, stating that Central Expo 2023 holds great significance for the Central Region and Ghana as a whole. He emphasized that the event will offer attendees a range of exhibitions, conferences, cultural showcases, and networking opportunities, all aimed at driving economic development and fostering regional partnerships.

Mr. Boahene believes that the expo will serve as a catalyst for economic growth, providing investment opportunities and cultural exchange. He invites the general public to join them in exploring the exciting prospects that Central Expo 2023 has to offer.
