The Ghana-West Africa Business Excellence Awards’ 6th edition, organised by KN Unique Communications, has recognised about 60 top companies and individuals from all aspects of the business sector in Ghana and other countries of West Africa.
The awards event provides a platform to recognise individuals and companies which have over the years played a significant role in development of the business sector. It also promotes excellence in innovation, enterprise and endeavour, while also rewarding innovative ideas that have pushed the boundaries of what is possible.
Present at the ceremony held in Accra were HRM Nana Safo Boakye III; Palestinian Ambassador to Ghana, Abdal Fatah Ahmed Khalil; and Peru Ambassador to Ghana, Abel Antonio Cárdenas Tuppia, top media personalities and many more.
HRM Nana Safo Boakye III, who happens to be the awarding board chairman, in his speech congratulated all awardees and assured entrepreneurs, innovators and business leaders of an enabling environment that aids their businesses to work in Ghana and West Africa as a whole. He also stressed the need for these businesses to aim at being part of the globalised digital economy and place their business on the world stage.
The ceremony’s purpose is to celebrate the achievements of individuals and companies which have distinguished themselves in the sector during the year under review, and saw the ultimate awards going to Mrs. Maud Lindsey-Gamrat (CEO-Atlantic Catering And Logistics Limited) Outstanding Winning CEO of the Year (Catering Services); Mr. Victor Yaw Asante (CEO-FBN Bank Ghana), who won CEO of the Year (Banking And Finance); and Madam Jane Reason Ahadzie (CEO- JRA Cosmetics Limited) who won Entrepreneur of the Year.
