Ghana Re PLC Insurance has announced the programme for this year’s 17th edition of the Annual International seminars, which is scheduled to take place at the Rock City Hotel-Nkwatia in the Eastern Region from February 28 to March 4, 2023.
Importantly, too, this conference will host African and Asian Reinsurers; and they will dwell on the topic ‘Crisis Management- Past, Present and future’. It will be attended by a total of 42 participants; 23 from the local market and 19 foreign participants.
The foreign participants will include reinsurers from Ghana – 25; Liberia – 3; Ethiopia – 2; Kenya – 3; Qatar -1; Sierra Leone – 1; Cote d’Ivoire – 1; Cameroon – 1; Morocco – 1; Nigeria – 2; Jordan – 1; and Sudan – 5.
Resource persons for this year’s seminar will include: Mr. Ryan Philips, Group Managing Director, Afro-Asian Insurance Services Limited; Mr. Andrew Hodgett, Business Development Manager, Afro-Asian Insurance Services Limited.
A major aspect of the seminar will include registration on the first day – March 1st 2023, followed by the first lecture on political risk and PVT from 10:45am to 11:45am.
The second day, Thursday March 2nd 2023, will be on ‘Kidnap and Ransom Insurance’ and ‘Cyber’, which will stretch from 11:00 am to 14:30pm.
On Friday, March 3rd 2023, there will be a lecture on ‘Cypto and Future Risks’. Participants will depart on Saturday, March 4th 2023 to their various countries.
