Crop Doctor Ghana Limited (CDGL), the leading agribusiness company and a subsidiary of ECOM Ghana, has donated farm implements worth GH45,000 through its mechanisation unit ‘MICROMEC’ to the various districts, regional and municipal directorates of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) in support of the 38th National Framers’ Day celebration.
Crop Doctor donated 10 motorised sprayers, 10 fertiliser applicators and souvenirs to support the directorates in honouring our gallant beneficiaries.
National Farmers’ Day is observed on the first Friday of December annually to honour farmers and fishermen who put their hearts and souls into the soil and sea to provide food for the nation. This year’s event was held on December 2, 2022 at the various regional and district levels, with the national event observed at Jubilee Park in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional Capital under the theme ‘Accelerating Agriculture Development through Value Addition’.
The Head of Business Development for MICROMEC, Mr. Felix Sarfo Fosu, after leading the team to donate the items on behalf of Business Head Mr. Sudhir Kumar said that: “Agriculture continues to be the backbone of the nation, and Crop Doctor is happy to partner with and support farmers during this occasion as we have done every year. We will continue to provide solutions to farmers and modernise the Ghanaian agricultural space to promote prosperity in our farming communities”.

As part of the donation exercise, Crop Doctor Ghana Limited made a donation in support of recognizing the best regional farmer in the Greater Accra region, in addition to setting up exhibition stations to showcase its extensive inventory of agricultural goods and farm equipment.
The Best Regional Farmer in the Greater Accra Region, upon receiving the items, thanked the team and expressed interest in the warehouse engagements the company offers, as well as all the lessons and resources it is using to develop one-stop shopping options for farmers. He also said he is looking forward to another year full of engagements and valuable insights to learn.
The Greater Accra Regional Directorate awarded Crop Doctor with a citation in appreciation of its thoughtful act and recognition of its expertise in agricultural innovation, and encouraged the team to carry on the good work it has already started in the area. The Regional Director said: “Crop Doctor’s Micromec solutions are not just machines; they’re business ideas for our young entrepreneurs to enter the agricultural space through harvest, post-harvest and food processing”.
