Tiah, one of the contestants in TV3’s popular music reality show – Mentor XI, moved the judges and patrons to a standing ovation after a powerful rendition of Diana Hamilton’s ‘Adom’ song last Sunday, to emerge Star Performer for the Night.

Week 4 of this on-going edition of the show celebrated legendary African artists, including Burna Boy and 2Face Idibia from Nigeria, Meiwey from Ivory Coast, and Lucky Dube and Yvonne Chaka Chaka from South Africa on Saturday, November 19, with Richie of LYNX entertainment, Reggie Rockstone and DJ Andy Dosty serving as judges.

The audience was wowed with a live show on Sunday, November 20 with a collection of music celebrating Ghanaian artists, including Stonebwoy, Samini and Kojo Antwi, and judged by Richie, ace crooner – Kwabena Kwabena, and guest judge Kaywa.

Kaywa, CEO of Highly Spiritual Music label and one of Ghana’s multiple award-winning music industry experts, was on hand to critique the live performances, bringing to bear fifteen years of experience in the Ghanaian music industry.

The Best Costume award went to Rao, who performed a classic from Kojo Antwi, ‘Enfa Me Nko Ho’.

Mask Gyal and Jamal failed to garner enough votes from the audience, and had to say goodbye to the Mentor XI stage.

Week 5 promises to be another exciting night on Mentor XI as the remaining eight contestants pair with past Mentor contestants for duets in celebration of TV3 @25.

Also featuring as guest judge for Saturday’s Judge’s Choice show will be famed voice coach from the X Factor talent show in the United Kingdom, Jennifer Philips.
