Business Strategist and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hair Senta, Gwyneth Gyimah Addo, has launched her first book titled ‘Direction’.
The book, which was launched at a beautiful and classy ceremony on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the Kempinski Hotel, chronicles not only the author’s life, but also her experiences and first-hand business strategies, serving as an experimental guide for readers in both their business and daily lives.
“Sometimes you start life and you have a dream of where you want to go, but the point is you don’t know how to start or where to start from, so ‘Direction’ comes in as your personal GPS. It is basically going to give you that correct map to take when you start your journey. ‘Direction’ is for both the young and old, it is for everybody who wants direction in their lives and wants to know if what they are doing is the right thing, and if it is at the right time,” Gwyneth narrated.
Professing her love for Christ without any shame, she revealed that she has only come thus far by God’s good grace, and therefore, urged the public to use every little platform as an opportunity to tell about God’s goodness.
“God has given us a very special platform and sometimes we just have to use it. When social media was not there, people will have to walk with their bibles as a cover over their heads to spread the word. But God has given us a speech and a platform and no matter how small it is you have to use it. God is here, he is real, and He works and if you believe in Him, greatness is yours,” she said.
As an avid social media user, she advised the public not to be misled by what they see on social media, but to work hard while waiting patiently for their time and season.
“I spend a lot of time on social media, particularly on Instagram, and there are a lot of girls who are depressed. People send me messages and they are depressed about what they see, and it breaks my heart because some of these things can be orchestrated.
This has made a lot of people ungrateful, and that makes you block your own blessing because it blinds you from seeing opportunities. We need to understand that there are times and there are seasons, do not rush because at the right time they will come to you; mind you; some of the mistakes you will make you can’t go back,” Gwen noted.
Giving the keynote address, Life Coach, Author and Executive Pastor at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) – Christ Temple, Reverend Albert Ocran, congratulated the author for her consistent hard work toward putting together a good piece and presenting them in such a great sequence.
He described the author as a bona fide, resilient and dedicated woman of substance, while appreciating her overall love for Christ.
“Gwen has a very warm and humble personality; you meet Gwen and you like her because she is authentic. What you see is what you get. She relates very well to people, a very bold entrepreneur ready to share her ideas. She believes in what she has to offer, and she is able to put her thoughts and ideas out there and that is commendable. Another remarkable aspect is Gwen’s flagship concept, the God factor which she freely shares, and she talks about the central role that God plays in her life,” he said.
Mr. Ocran praised the author for successfully passing through all the right channels, adding that she has met all of the necessary requirements to become the best author.
“There are three things that over the years I have come to realise makes a book a best-seller, and having run a print company for over 20 years, I have a fair idea about what will sell and what will not work. The first is the personality of the Author, the second is the story the book is telling, and the third is the author’s ability to sell the book, and I must say Gwen ticked all three boxes,” Mr. Ocran added.
The event was graced by many business, political and religious leaders alongside friends and family of the author. Some of the personalities were Charles Addo, CEO Meridian Group; Abena Osei-Poku, Managing Director of Absa Bank Ghana; Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister of Communications; Ben Asante, Managing Director of Ghana Gas; Gyo Gyimah, CEO of Phamous Media Group; Dr. Amoo-Osae Jnr, CEO & Director of The House Group of Companies; Nana Ama Davis, CEO of Exotic Trends; Rev. Eric Xexemeku, Lead Pastor at ICGC Open Heavens Temple; Kiran Daswani, Founder and CEO of The Greens Residential Project; and many more.
