The growing use of technology is making life easier, faster, better and more interesting. Over the years, technology has advanced significantly and created some of the most amazing tools and resources with a vast array of information at our fingertips thereby transforming the environment and the way we live.

This transformational shift has been fast-tracked by the Covid-19 pandemic which has resulted in the increasing deployment of digital solutions by organisations in a bid to lessen human physical interactions to stop the spread of the pandemic.

The ongoing deployment of digital tools has underpinned societal resilience and business continuity during the crisis and is expected to become the new normal in future.

Banks in particular, despite the suddenness of the pandemic and its attendant requirements for lockdowns and less physical interactions, have stepped up efforts to meet growing customer needs for digital/virtual solutions in order to remain competitive in the marketplace.
