Agricultural Manufacturing Group Limited, AMG Fertilizers, a leading local manufacturer and distributor of advanced crop nutrition performance fertilizers, has reiterated its long-term commitment, to continuously support in enabling women farmers to advance, in their fields of operation, by partnering Agrihouse Foundation, to host the 7th Gathering of Royals.
In his statement, Dr. Ernest Appiah, Group Managing Director of AMG, said, AMG Fertilizers, recognizes the extraordinary efforts of women in feeding our communities, our regions and the nation as a whole, through their dedication to farming.
We are of the conviction that, sustainable agricultural growth within our communities, is impossible without the full inclusion of women and importantly, the support of women centred activities, such as the Gathering of the Royals. He added
Women work very hard and, thus consistent support and investment is needed to empower them.
Last year, AMG Fertilizers supported the Gathering of the Royals both financially and technically. We had the opportunity to meet and share our crop nutrition solutions with all participants, especially farmers from across the country. This support has not only given us brand visibility, but has helped tremendously grow our markets and introduce our solutions to the farmers, at the community level.
By this, AMG Fertilizers have been able to establish demonstration centres in various communities, where we are building sustainable farmers, through the training and adoption of best application practices, by farmers. Dr. Appiah indicated
We are excited with the scale-up of the Gathering of the Royals, to include the “Royals in AgriBooster: Dignified Jobs for the Community Network Initiative.”,where dignified jobs will be created for about 4800 youth, in 3 years within the 16 regions.
This is a laudable initiative and we commend Agrihouse foundation, for this milestone. We believe, this is exactly what the industry needs, at this period, to ensure the youth are innovatively part of the agrifood future.
This presents an opportunity to AMG Fertilizers, to further build futures and communities, by working closely with Agrihouse Foundation and our queen-mothers in Agriculture, across the 16 regions, he remarked .
Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa, Executive Director of Agrihouse Foundation, expressed her deep appreciation for AMG Fertilizer’s continues collaboration, highlighting the company’s unwavering dedication to improving agricultural productivity in Ghana.
