Mr. Kwamina Asomaning has been elected as the president of the Ghana Association of Banks (GAB).
Mr. Asomaning who currently serves as the Chief Executive of Stanbic Bank Ghana brings extensive experience in international and local finance.
He succeeds Mr. John Kofi Adomakoh, who has completed his tenure following his departure from GCB Bank Plc.
The Association thanked Mr. Adomakoh for his meritorious service to the banking industry.
Mr. Asomaning’s proven leadership, coupled with his strategic approach to innovation, makes him well positioned to lead the Association in strengthening industry collaboration, enhancing financial stability and promoting sustainable economic growth in Ghana’s banking sector.
Under his leadership, Stanbic Bank Ghana has been recognised for innovation, customer focus and sustainable banking practices.
Mr. Hakim Ouzzani, Managing Director of SG Ghana, will continue to serve as Vice President, while Mr. Henry Onwuzurigbo, Managing Director of Zenith Bank Ghana, remains as Treasurer of GAB.
The Association welcomes Mr. Asomaning’s leadership and looks forward to working with him in advancing the banking industry in Ghana.
