Trans-Sahara Industries donates branded bicycles to Otumfuo Osei-Tutu II

Trans-Sahara Industries, a leading Ghanaian electric micromobility company, is honoured to announce the donation of a fleet of special commemorative bikes to Otumfuo Osei-Tutu II as part of the Asante King’s 25th Anniversary celebration.

This gesture underscores the company’s commitment to sustainable transportation and community development in Ghana.

The donation was made during a ceremony held at the Manhyia Palace, with Otumfuo, chiefs of Asanteman and local officials in attendance.



The fleet, comprising commemorative state-of-the-art single speed bicycles designed and assembled by Trans-Sahara Industries, symbolizes the fusion of tradition and modernity, embodying the progressive vision of both the Asante Kingdom and Trans-Sahara Industries.

Otumfuo Osei-Tutu II, who has been a beacon of progress and unity in Ghana, marks his 25th year on the throne with numerous events that highlight his contributions to education, health, and sustainable development.

The donation from Trans-Sahara Industries is a tribute to his enduring legacy and a step towards promoting eco-friendly transportation in the region.

We are excited to see these bikes being used to improve mobility and reduce carbon emissions in our communities.” Gerald further remarked that, the company intends to establish a factory in Kumasi to create sustainable jobs for the youth and boost economic development in the Region.

The bicycles will be utilized for various purposes within the Asante Kingdom, including enhancing mobility for palace staff, supporting community health workers, and providing an eco-friendly alternative for local transportation needs.

This initiative is expected to pave the way for broader adoption of micro-mobility in Ghana, fostering a culture of sustainability and innovation.
