We are thrilled to announce that our Smart Alert Team has safely arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, to compete in the prestigious Hult Prize Regional Competition. This event, taking place from June 7-8, 2024, marks a significant milestone for our university and underscores our commitment to fostering innovation and excellence.

The Hult Prize is an esteemed international contest that urges university students to devise innovative business solutions for pressing social challenges. Regent’s team is presenting a smart alert system that manages appliances via SMS messages and includes a smart fire detector.

To Andrews Owusu-Sekyere, Christabel Quarcoo, Aseda Kofi Ayeh-Bampoe, and Emmanuel Bonney, we are immensely proud of your hard work, dedication, and ingenuity. Your smart alert system, capable of managing appliances through SMS messages and equipped with a smart fire detector, showcases the spirit of innovation that defines Regent University. Your achievements thus far are commendable, and we have every confidence in your ability to excel in this competition.

To our broader university community, we urge you to join us in supporting and cheering on our team. Their participation in this international event not only brings recognition to our institution but also inspires all of us to strive for excellence in our respective fields. Let us take this opportunity to celebrate their success and draw inspiration from their pioneering spirit.

As they compete in Nairobi, let us keep them in our thoughts and prayers, sending positive energy and encouragement. Together, we can achieve great things and continue to elevate the name of Regent University on the global stage.

Out of thousands of entries, fewer than 400 teams were selected to compete at the Hult Prize Global Summits. These teams will benefit from top-tier resources and networking opportunities with leading experts.

The victorious teams from these summits will advance to the Global Accelerator, bringing them closer to the grand prize of US $1,000,000. In 2024, the Hult Prize Foundation is collaborating with prestigious educational institutions to host seven summits worldwide. These summits will be held at:
